PageShotter captures screenshots only when you explicitly start a capture. Screenshot images and webpage contents are processed locally on your device and are not sent to PageShotter servers or third parties.

Data handling

The extension temporarily stores screenshot sections and the page title in its local browser storage while assembling your result. This temporary capture data is deleted after assembly, failure, or cancellation. Records older than 24 hours are removed the next time PageShotter starts as a crash-recovery safeguard. Page URLs are not stored.

PageShotter inspects layout-related webpage information locally to determine page dimensions, wait for images, and prevent fixed or sticky elements from repeating. This information is not stored or transmitted.

PageShotter does not require an account for free capture. It does not read or export authentication cookies, credentials, or browsing history. The extension contains no advertising, telemetry, or remote executable code, and PageShotter does not sell or share browsing data.

Website and support

When you visit the PageShotter website, the hosting provider may process ordinary request metadata such as IP address, browser type, and requested page for security and delivery. Any future website analytics will be disclosed here before use. Information you send to support is used only to answer and improve support. Do not send private URLs, credentials, or confidential screenshots.

Compliance

PageShotter uses information received from Chrome APIs only to provide the user-requested screenshot functionality, in compliance with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy and its Limited Use requirements.
